This book is mainly for the home gardener, or potential grower rather than the collector, the specialist. It takes into account conditions which are sometimes less than ideal for fuchsia cultivation, and shows how the plants are best grown and which, in the author's opinion, give the most pleasure. Since there are now more than 8000 varieties of fuchsia in existence, you have a lot of choice!
But some of these plants are very fickle in habit and flowering, and it helps to know the most hardy and disease-resistant. All round, here's inspiration for people who love flowers in general and fuchsias in particular.
