So - 'tis the season tp be jolly, is it? Well, not in the household of the Grumpy Old Man or Woman it isn't. In the case of the GOM, 'tis the season to have to put up with even deeper layers of vexation than usual, and the only thing worth celebrating is that it looks as though you might actually survive to the end of another crap year.
Yes, the Grumpies are back. The gems from the TV-series that took the over-40s by storm are now available in book form to chortle over and agree wholeheartedly with. Whether its breakfast telly presenters telling us its only 240 shopping days to go, or the Christmas muzak in the shops that blares out from early November, or ghastly parents videoing their precocious brats at the school nativity play ... does everything about Christmas get up out snitches? You bet it does. It's time to release your inner Scrooge!
