There is a growing interest in mountain flying and a significant lask of information on the subject available to the helicopter pilot. The aim of this book is to supply this much-needed information and to present it in an easy-to-read format. In this handbook safe mountain flying techniques are explained in simple, non-technical language. The author also explains Advanced Techniques which are not covered in other training manuals and which will be of particular interest to pilots already holding their helicopter licence. This revised and expanded edition covers some of the more advanced piloting skills required to fly a helicopter over difficult terrain or in demanding circumstances. AUTHOR Norman Bailey first learned to fly in the Army Air Corps and later became a graduate of the RAF's Central Flying School for Flying Instructors. He is a CAA Helicopter Examiner and was a member of the UK Panel of Helicopter Examinors from 1976 to 1986.
