In this board book adaptation, Hopper decides that he wants to be the Easter Bunny. He meets up with a plain brown hare and together they head for the hen house. A friendly chicken gives them each an egg to decorate, but the two rabbits manage to smash them while en route home. Never fear, once home, Hopper's mother shows them the beautiful egg the Easter bunny left and all ends happily. Soft watercolor illustrations fit the simple story.
