What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?

A widow.

Marriage can be murder. Quite literally, for Jazz Jardine -- stay-at-home mum and now, unexpectedly, the prime suspect in her husband's killing. He's been shot and she's been shut-up with no chance of bail, so it's up to her two best friends -- childless career woman Hannah and demented working mum Cassie -- to clear her name.

With Jazz incacerated, Cassie arrives to explain to her lawyer everything that has led to this point. A flashback draws us into a twisting, hilarious plot bringing together betrayal, adultery, thinner thighs and toy-boys. Oh, and murder.

Jazz's husband David Studlands-Studz -- a dashing and successful surgeon, has been neglecting his wife but apparently not neglecting anyone else's; she finds a half-used packet of Viagra despite the fact they haven't slept together in months. In order to investigate, Jazz fakes a holiday and begins to follow Studz out and about. It soon becomes apparent things are not what they seem...

At the same time, Cassie is dissatisfied with her own Mr Wrong, who seems to consider golf and air guitar practical alternatives to housework. She's up for the Assistant Head position at her school, but in between being a manic mother, harangued housewife and washed-out workaholic, there doesn't seem much chance of getting in. Especially when her number one rival's biggest dilemma is which au pair to take on holiday. It's not so much Having It All as Doing It All -- and it's driving her out of her mind...

And Hannah? She's fairing no better. Absorbed in her career and a self-confessed workaholic, everyone around her can see she's hurtling towards a mid-life crisis. When it finally arrives, it's a little more...controversial than they would have hoped: she's taken on a toy-boy! Hannah's always wanted a child and now she's having one...every night! Will her new seventeen-year old friend affect her ability to give Jazz a helping hand, particularly considering said boy and Jazz are related?

It's up to Cassie and Hannah to fight for Jazz, but can they really help out their friend? Will they keep their sanity? And will they ever learn that when their marriage vows say 'Til Death Do Us Part', it's not some sort of hint?

A diabolically funny new novel from Kathy Lette, smash hit author of Mad Cows, Nip 'n' Tuck and Dead Sexy.

How Not To Kill Your Husband
I devoured this book in days I loved it. Kathy Lette is fabulous author, with a long list of fabulous books. This one is no different. Absolutely hilarious, this book will have you in fits of laughter from the first page until the last. Although don't mistake this for a shallow read, the emotional turmoil will keep you captivated as Lette discusses many troubles that plague everyday married couples, and a few problems a little more unusual murder.
