While waiting for Father Bear to come home from sailing on the ocean, Owl and Little Bear go fishing in the river and Little Bear catches a small fish for tea. Little Bear is very excited about Father Bear's travels and tells all his friends that Father Bear may come back with a mermaid.
Instead Father Bear brings home sea shells and Little Bear and his friends listen to the sound of the sea in them.
