Chante Britt is flabbergasted when her ex fiance, disgraced politician Robert Montgomery, goes on television and tells the city of Charlotte that he's running for mayor and she's going to be standing by his side. She hadn't said two words to him since he lost the state senate seat to her best friend and sorority sister's husband. Now, he's weaving more lies. Deciding to avoid the questions from the media, she heads to Charleston, South Carolina to get away from the prying eyes of reporters. But when she runs into Zach Harrington, a man running from his own scandal, sparks fly and just when they start to get close, Robert returns with his media circus.
