A young woman marries a wealthy older widower, knowing of the rumours surrounding the mysterious death of his first wife ten years ago, and finds out he is a sleep-walker who suffers periodic nightmares. When the police arrive at her doorstep with a warrant for her husband's arrest in connection with a murder of a woman he dated over twenty years ago, she begins to fear she has married a sleepwalking murderer. As she resolves to find out the truth behind the puzzling deaths, her re-emerging memories threaten her marriage and put herself and her frail grandmother in mortal danger.
