One of the most important changes in the twentieth century has been the evolution of decorative arts from "craftsmen" to "art": nowadays glassware has gained total recognition in museums and public opinion. The extraordinary ability and originality in techniques between the late 40's and the 50's and the great success of Venini's design was surely one of the principal reasons for the international praise for Venetian glass: new exceptional techniques and outstanding creativity since 1925 have placed Venini's masterpieces with the highest artistic expressions of art in our century. Simultaneously with the Italian reprint, after the German and French edition, the English one is now available with the famous " blue copybook" of Casa Venini, the private firm diary in which information on all the glassware was entered.
