This is the story of a middle-age marriage between an English woman and a Greek man. Her English composure compliments his Greek, masculine flamboyance and combined with their experience of previous marriages, they make a strong couple. Until she meets her Greek stepson and, against their wills, they fall in love. Found out by her own son she flees England to live with her husband in his Greek home - but he asks his son to live with them and the affair reignites.
