The term "anti-capitalist" is used to describe those people opposed to continued growth of capitalism, the economic system which dominates the world we live in. Today capitalism and globalisation increasingly go hand in hand and there appear to be more and more angry voices raised in protest against them both.

This book looks at today's anti-capitalist movement and examines the history of opposition to capitalism, including attempts by socialists and communists to think of alternative ways of running an economy and society.
