This book is designed to help the very high percentage of faculty who lecture to do a better job of it. It is intended to provide information about what a lecture is and the various ways to go about it, to provide solid tips for lecturing better, and to provide techniques that can help them help students be better, more active, and more engaged participants in the lecture process. This book will be a focused, up-to-date resource that draws on the collected wisdom from scholarship and practice, and will:
