Born in Australia to rather unconventional parents who ran a Burlesque club and later an adult book store, Tabatha had spent much of her childhood in the club's dressing room, first observing the beauty rituals of the transvestite performers and later attending to their hair and make-up. It was there that she had her first lessons in helping others create their own signature looks and where she first began her own transformation from an overweight child to someone who prizes a better match between the image one projects on the outside and what one truly is on the inside. It was there too that she learned to be comfortable with her sexuality and to be completely honest in all ways.
But it was when her father abandoned her family some years later, absconding with their life savings and leaving them with only what turned out to be a feigned suicide note, that she learned the toughest lessons of all. From her mother's determination to move on with dignity, Tabatha gleaned the importance of taking charge of your own future, of protecting it, and of establishing both financial independence and emotional resilience.
She's been called a bitch by some, but she doesn't take it as an insult. Instead she wears the title proudly redefining it as someone with Brains, Integrity, Tenacity, Creativity and Honesty.
