Jack Bolt is staying with his granny in the village of Wittlesham. But on the night before All Hallows Eve a very surprising hand delivery slices its way (literally) through to his bedroom, via the wall. So begins an entirely unexpected adventure for Jack Bolt as he becomes embroiled in a series of haphazard antics with a band of highwaymen on the run. But these are no ordinary highwaymen. They come from the 18th century! And Jack must use all his nous to keep them from the suspicious eyes of the law when they make an escape through to his 21st century world.
