Every day, Johnny listens to his favorite radio program, "Don Winslow of the Navy." Some day, he will travel the world and have adventures, just like Don Winslow. But then the radio goes dead and his parents cannot afford to buy a new one. Johnny asks weird old Mr. Zaga, who lives in the basement, if he can fix the radio. Mr. Zaga is interested in time travel, not in radios, but he tries to fix Johnny's radio anyway, with a powerful electric charge from his machinery.
