Kei is a smart, rambunctious, fun-loving boy, who has a real zest for life and learning, but when he moves to Japan, he lives as an outsider. His new classmates taunt, tease, and bully him relentlessly. He becomes the primary target of their cruel comments, and it's not fair.
To his classmates and many in Japanese society, Kei isn't one of them, even though he very much is. Moving to Japan from Canada was supposed to be great and help him immerse in a part of his multicultural background, but life for many biracial children in Japan is difficult, but not impossible.
Follow Kei's story as he overcomes the initial difficulties and embraces all that makes him wonderful and unique. Life may be tough sometimes, but just like seasons, things change for the better if you're willing to be patient and never give up.
