Studies the lives of the Scottish knights and men-at-arms who fought against - and alongside - the armies of Edward I, Edward II and Edward III for more than half a century. This work examines the military responsibilities and practices and the political and social factors which led the Scottish Gentry and Nobility to wage war for independence.
