In Last Tree in the City, Edward stumbles upon a beautiful tree. It is the last tree in the dull and colourless city. Then one day the tree is chopped down and all that is left behind is a branch. Edward, in attempting to revive the tree, causes the whole city to follow his lead as they realise the importance and beauty of nature.
