Laura and her little brother Tommy can hardly wait. They are going to fly the kite they have made. But the kite won't fly - it fails and rips. Harry makes nasty comments about the broken kite, and Laura makes a bet with him that her kite will fly higher than any other kite . . . or she'll tell him her secret. But Laura doesn't want to share her special secret so that night she asks her star for help.
