Eleven-year-old Jack Lane has family troubles. He has to move from Melbourne and give up AFL. But in Sydney, life gets heaps better.

Jack gets hooked on rugby league and joins his local club, the Wanderers. The team soon learns Jack can leap as high as any of them. And he has the best kicking boot in junior league. Move over Specky Magee, Leaper Lane has arrived!
