Current photographs of the places where this unit engaged in fighting in the battle of Normandy are also included, as well as many items of equipment of the Parachute Regiment found in Normandy.
Volker Grieser is the grandson of a German paratrooper who took part in the battle of Normandy, which enabled him to carry out this amazing research, record rare personal accounts and bring together this rich collection of illustrations.
