Every year, there is a huge party in San Luis, Argentina. Thousands of Brazilians are invited to the city to organise a show for the 'Carnaval de Rio'. This year, Rodrigo Otazu was the artistic leader of this festival. To photograph it, he has contacted Pieter Henket, one of the 'hottest' photographers of the moment. His collections are worn by celebrities such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. He now lives and works in New York and his collection is available in over 20 countries. Pieter Henket lives in New York and is one of the most talented upcoming celebrity and fashion photographers. His work can be described as being sexy, hyper chic and memorable. He started 12 years ago and has become the favourite photographer of many directors, actors and pop stars. His breakthrough was in 2008, when he portrayed Lady Gaga for her first album The Fame. The photo was selected for the American Woman exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Together with Banksy, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and many others, Henket participated at a group show in Dallas, Texas, organised by the Van de Goss-George Michael foundation. His work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, The London Times, Harper's Bazaar, Der Spiegel and the Asian edition of Esquire. He is a blogger for the Dutch edition of Vogue (The Dutch Files from Vogue). Luis! is his first book.
