It's the last week of school and Chloe is gushing over her new boyfriend, Lennon - until one of her friends convinces her that she's playing it all wrong. Love is a game, and it's got certain rules. Rule number one? Never, ever let a guy know you like him. Well, not until at least date four, that is.
Meanwhile, Riley decides to go it on her own - without a boyfriend. She's begun writing poetry in her journal, but when she shows it to her friends, nobody knows what her poems mean. Then she meets a guy at a cafe, who actually "gets it" - and turns one of her poems into a song! Why, Chloe and Riley wonder, are relationships so complicated?
