Worldwide approximately 3 billion people survive on $2 a day and more than half billion survive on less than $1 per day. Thus poverty eradication has been a concern for most governments. For example, as stated in the Tanzania Poverty Eradication Strategy (1998); the long term objective of Tanzania government is to reduce poverty by the year 2010 and eradicate poverty by the year 2025. This book examines the impact of microfinance on assets accumulation among women in ''village banking''(module devised by Muhammad Yunus).
