A Mixed Bag follows fifteen years of fieldsports photography taken by the Shooting Times staff photographer, Paul Quagliana. The book covers everything from mainstream shooting sports to more obscure pastimes, politics, fishing and the flora and fauna that abound both in the UK and overseas. The world of British fieldsports and the countryside have remained relatively unchanged over the decades, but at the same time they have undergone radical changes of both a legislative and technological nature. A Mixed Bag records these pastimes and professions in almost all their forms. Whether it is ferreting on a wet day in the West Country, driven shooting, hunting under the hot sun of Africa or the vastness of Alaska or fly fishing on the lakes of Ireland, the camera records many moments, places and people that would otherwise have passed only into memory. With its stunning photographs and wide range of topics, A Mixed Bag is a wonderful record of sport and the countryside which will appeal to sportsmen and women the world over.
