Following her orangutan adventure in 'Monkey Magic: the Curse of Mukada', eleven-year-old Romy now accompanies her father on a trip to Beijing where the esteemed primatologist is due to give a lecture. On a visit to the Great Wall of China, Romy and her father spot a troop of monkeys that resemble a rare breed from South America. What could they be doing playing on the Great Wall?
Romy and her young Chinese friend Pei do some snooping around and they discover an illegal animal trading operation in the heart of Beijing. Will they be able to save the monkeys from South America or will they themselves end up as victims?
