With a number of extraordinary, high-profile new buildings around the world, Thom Mayne and his firm Morphosis have nowattained the peak of international recognition, entering the realm of such renowned architects as Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas,and Richard Meier. This fifth volume of the work of Thom Mayne and his firm Morphosis will feature recently completed buildings such as the CalTrans Headquarters in Los Angeles (2004); the San Francisco Federal Office building (2006); the Wayne L. Morse United StatesCourthouse in Eugene, Oregon (2006) and the University of Cincinnati Student Recreation Center (2006). Projects in progress,such as the New Academic Building for the Cooper Union in New York (2008) and the Phare Tower for La Defense, France (2012), will also be featured.
