Using three voices: "Miss Thang" -when women are in their 20s and think they know it all; "Sister-Girl" -when women are older and realize they don't know all the answers; and "Queen Mother"-when women are learned and wise, and told in the hippest of prose, 'Ms Thang' tells Black women that, "Yes indeed, we need to know we are loved and that above all others we should love our selves."
