The Story Of Elizabeth Harvey, Sydney, 1790.
Lizzie Harvey is a young convict. She stole a linen gown and a straw bonnet. Her diary tells of her life as a convict in Sydney Cove. She has to fetch water, mend clothes, please her master, care for his daughter and keep out of the way of his moody son. She's starving and overworked, but her diary is her only hope of reaching out to the home she's left behind.
