This five-spread book is designed like a shape-sorter toy. Each page has up to three holes into which a child can insert a shape.
Each shape disappears and falls into a separated windowed compartment, which is mounted at the bottom of the book. The path that the shape follows into the compartment is sometimes angled, so that the shape does not always fall into the compartment directly below the hole in the page.
As a further surprise, on the final spread the shape does not fall into the front compartment, but 'disappears' into compartments in the back of the book. Each compartment can be opened up individually so the shaped pieces can be easily removed.
