Pinterest (www.pinterest.com) is one of the hottest social sites on the Internet today. It is a social network in the form of a virtual 'pinboard.' Users 'pin' interesting images to their personal message boards, and then share their pins with online friends. Pinterest is tightly integrated with Facebook, so that new pins appear in friends' Facebook news feeds. As of December, 2011, Pinterest had 7.5 million users, up from fewer than a half million just six months prior. (That's a more rapid increase than even Facebook had at that point in their growth.)
