"Shortly before I knew I was going to be a Dad, I started a diary, a 21st birthday present for the child we were going to have."
What I didn't realise is that pregnancy is a freeway for some and a farm road for others. Halfway to our destination, we were bouncing out of potholes and heading for the ditch. The next six months were spent in wards and waiting rooms as mother and baby waged their battles with biology. Truth be told, I had no idea that the process of entering the world could be so funny and so sad, so joyful and so heartbreaking, so hard and yet so inspiring. 'Naomi's Story' is one of hell, high water, hospital and home, but it is mostly one of hope. It's about family and love and, ultimately, the resilience of life.
