With this special publication Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) celebrates its 60th anniversary. Through sixty images, by photographers such as Ed van der Elsken, Gerard Fieret, Joris-Jan Bos, Erwin Olaf and Rahi Rezvani, the history of the company reveals itself. Each photo is accompanied by an anecdote, memory or explanation of a person who has left a mark on the character and course of NDT. It includes familiar names such as Jiri Kylian, Sol Leon, Paul Lightfoot and Hans van Manen, but also less familiar ones. Furthermore, an array of archival materials illuminates the rich heritage of the company.
In doing so, this publication offers a glance into the heritage and history of one of the world's most renowned modern dance companies.
