On Tuesday night Noah has a dream. In his dream a soft voice whispers, "Noah, you've got to build a boat." When Noah wakes up in the morning he says to himself, "That was a stupid dream. I don't even live near the sea."
But the dream keeps coming back, every night, and the voice gets louder and louder! So at last he agrees.
He rather fancies a catamaran himself, but all the animals on his farm keep demanding kennels and hen houses and stables and pens and places to roost, so he decides to build a houseboat on top of a catamaran to fit it all in . . .
As soon as he's built the framework, though, the dreams start coming back, and that voice starts getting louder and louder again: "I think you'd better make the boat bigger, Noah. Quite a bit bigger."
Then the bush animals, reptiles and even insects start to turn up, and they need gum trees, flowers, rocks, grass and so on and so on, so Noah goes on building and building . . .
