This fascinating collection of more than 200 archive photographs traces some of the many ways in which Nuneaton has changed and developed over the last hundred years.
From rare images of the aerodrome which flourished during the early twenties and glimpses of working life in some of the local industries to school photographs from the King Edward Grammar School in the 1890s, all aspects of everyday life are recorded here: shops and businesses, churches and schools, celebrations and disasters. The landscapes and landmarks of the town and its surrounding areas are also captured in this valuable historical record of life in town as it used to be.
Complied by the chairman of Nuneaton’s Local Civic Society, Nuneaton Revisited will reawaken nostalgic memories for many, while offering a unique glimpse of the past for others.
