Odile Decq and Benoit Cornette first rose to international prominence with their Banque Populaire de l'Ouest in Montgermont, Rennes, in 1990. Based in Paris, they have exhibited their work on a worldwide scale. In 1995 they were one of the three practices chosen to represent contemporary French architecture in an exhibition that travelled from Paris to London, Berlin and Peking. They have also exhibited at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc) in Los Angeles, and at the Art Institute of Chicago as members of the French travelling exhibition "Forty Architects under Forty", which was installed at the 1991 Venice Biennale. Decq and Cornette have been successful in many European competitions, and recently completed two housing schemes in Paris; they are also working on large-scale urban projects such as the masterplan to the revitalisation of the docks at Port de Gennevillers, Paris.

The book charts the architects' working process in over twenty buildings and projects, and also features their highly original models used to present their designs, which have attracted as much attention as their built work.

Includes colour and black-and-white illustrations.
