This is the story of five-year old Dominic's journey through his mother's pregnancy featuring beautiful and discrete colour photographs of a his mum's tummy getting bigger and bigger throughout the pregnancy. Using photos of the experience of a real-life family in their home in inner-city Melbourne dispels any mystery, fear or concern a child may have about a new baby arriving in their life.
Dom is a normal five-year-old boy who likes playing, swimming – and chocolate – and every child will relate to the excitement of the journey and the joyful outcome.
Dominic's experience is captured through the eyes of his real-life father, acclaimed photojournalist Mario Borg, and with the words of his real-life mother, comedy writer Catherine Deveny.
