Outcasts is the continuation of Ajax and Daphne's story. If you've read the complete saga, you already know the ending of this book... But that doesn't stop you hoping for a twist, a change or a miracle. And maybe Josephine Angelini grants your wish or maybe she doesn't. Either way, this book has fast become a fan favourite, tears and laughter from everyone who's completed reading it.
Daphne is a hated character in the original series, but how did she become that way? We had the first part of her story in 'Scions', where we were taken back to her beginnings and how she met Ajax. We learned why the house of Atreus is how they are and more about their curse. In Outcasts, Josephine weaves a tale of heartbreak and redemption with twists on other characters we didn't previously have much information on. I expected to feel some how detached from the characters, knowing how a lot of their stories go, but in fact the opposite was true. My heart soared and then crashed back to Earth, shattered into a million pieces.
I can highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys magic, mythology or just a good story or romance, and can't wait for the final book in 2024!
