Fans of Crosstitch/Outlander will not be disappointed. The book is set 20 years after Claire leaves Jamie and has returned through the stones to her own time. Afraid that Jamie has died in the battle of Culloden, she returns to Scotland after all this time with her daughter Brianna to find out what happened to Jamie and the other Frasers and Mackenzies. This truly is an EPIC series. Gabaldon's writing draws you right in with such well researched and vivid detail that you feel as though you are IN the story, right alongside Jamie and Claire. Gabaldon truly loves her characters as though they were dear friends and this is what will keep you reading WELL past your bedtime until you finish this book!
