Passenger is a fantastic introduction to Alexandra Bracken's new world of time-travel, mystery, action and romance. The novel follows seventeen year old Etta Spencer-- a prodigious violinist-- as her world is turned upside down as she is thrown into a vicious battle between the age-old time-travelling families. Forced into a battle she is given no chance to understand, Etta must find a guide whom she can trust as she travels through. All of this danger is made even more pressing as she is fighting for her mother's life; who has been captured by the most dangerous of the families. An excellent read for anyone who loves mystery, action and historical fiction, and fans of Kerstin Gier's 'Ruby Red' trilogy. - Rebecca (QBD)
