Tim Bowden once again brings his talent for oral history to bear with splendid accounts of meetings with always interesting, often strange and sometimes downright loony characters as he and his wife Ros once again travel to remote parts of Australia in their trusty Landcruiser (Penelope) and camping trailer (The Manor). As with 'Penelope Goes West', Tim combines a Brysonesque background to the geography and history of the places he visits - from Broome to the Kimberley's - with wonderful tales of camping in the Great Outdoors, and Ros has once again provided the photographs.
