Coinciding with the tenth anniversary of its inauguration, we are happy to introduce this catalogue of the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum's Own Collection. It offers a complete perspective of Twentieth Century art. At present, the museum's own collection includes works by some of the most representative artists of the second half of the Twentieth Century, such a Eduardo Chillida, Yves Klein, Willem de Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Clyfford Still, Antoni Tàpies and Andy Warhol amongst others. Each work is analysed by an internationally prestigious art historian, in a way that both the expert and the layman will find the meaning and universal reach of this art collection from the Twentieth and Twenty-first Centuries.
