The spiny dogfish shark continues to be a favourite dissection specimen in courses of Zoology, Comparative Anatomy, and Vertebrate Zoology. It is generally the first animal to which the student in such classes is exposed.
This book presents full-page photographs revealing the various structures as they will appear to the student. Some are as big as the actual specimens, some are even larger. These have been carefully selected and labeled. A Self-Quiz for students is found at the end of each unit. These consist of short answer type questions, definitions, and the labeling of review diagrams. These worksheet pages may be removed from the book and submitted to the instructor for correction.
