For quite a while Schilt Publishing have planned to publish a superb photography book on cats. Not just another book about these magnificent creatures, but a cat book so beautiful as never has been made, with stunning photography by stunning photographers. Cats are very important to Schilt Publishing. Schilt Publishing's logo is a cat. Not just a cat, but our famous Rhubarb, born in our house in 2008 when Maarten was attending the British photography festival Rhubarb Rhubarb. He still lives happily with Maarten and Maria Louise, his mother Dusha and third cat "aunt" Mirella. When we erected Schilt Publishing in 2009, we immediately thought of Rhubarb becoming the logo. Rhubarb and his beautiful gazing eyes grace the spine of every book we have published. PhotoCat includes images by professional photographers both famous and those only just emerging. With an introduction by Sacha de Boer, Dutch photographer, journalist, TV presenter and of course a great cat lover!
