Picking up from the enormously successful 'The Saddle Club' series, 'Pine Hollow' continues following the lives of best friends Stevie, Carole and Lisa. A little older, the girls are facing a new set of challenges, but their friendship and love of horses only grows stronger.
A party was supposed to cheer everyone up, but it has done just the opposite.
Carole told Lisa's boyfriend a secret, and now he and Lisa have broken up. Lisa is miserable, and furious at Carole. But Carole is sick of feeling guilty. Besides, she's got problems of her own. She's having trouble at school, and if she doesn't get her priorities straight, she can forget about the big horse show she wants to enter - and a lot of other things.
Stevie hates to see her best friends hurting, but what can she do? She's training for a horse show and running Scott Forester's campaign for student council president. In fact, she's spending so much time on these projects that her friends wonder how she can keep it all together.
