One of the most popular characters on Play School, Little Ted is an original in name only. The original Little Ted disappeared in 1973. He was last seen in the company of a staging assistant, and despite a nationwide appeal by Bill Peach on 'This Day Tonight', he never returned and a new bear was substituted!
