The Home Front Revisited and Remembered
WWII re-enactment plays an incrasingly significant role in keeping alive the socvial and military history of the war years and it helps us all to remember the sacrifice and determination of a generation.
Re-enactors generally appear in telelvision programmes, documentaries and films, as well as appearing at an increasing number of 1940's themed public events across the length of the country. They spend a considerable amount of time researching the characters they portray, sourcing the correct uniforms and civilian dress and collecting ephemera of the period.
