This is the story of a music video obsessive who landed the job of her dreams programming the ABC's iconic late-night music show and who, over more than a decade, had close encounters with the world's biggest musical acts.
Narelle Gee and the rage couch have seen it all: the famous golden bottom of Kylie Minogue and the partly leather-clad, mostly bare buttocks of KISS rocker Gene Simmons; the contortions of Courtney Love; the tattooed muscles of Henry Rollins; the dark and light sides of Nick Cave, Trent Reznor, Gwen Stefani, Billy Corgan, Marilyn Manson, Michael Hutchence, Jack Black, Lily Allen, Green Day, Beastie Boys, Silverchair, Public Enemy, The Prodigy, The Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, Powderfinger, Coldplay, New Order, The Strokes, Sonic Youth, The Kings Of Leon and many more. Its fabric has been marked by cheap wine, fine champagne, cocktails, beer, coffee, pizza, hamburger, cigarette ash, and other substances. Once, it was touched by fire. (Some electronic artists have a fondness for arson.)
Packed with backstage anecdotes, industry gossip and fascinating musical insights, REAL WILD CHILD is a juicy rock 'n' roll read.

Real Wild Child An Insider's Tales From The Rage Couch
I was curious to read Real Wild Child - An Insider's Tales From The Rage Couch' as I have always been a Rage watcher. There have been times, late, late at night, early in the morning, when I have found myself wondering about this slightly mysterious ABC program. How does it get made? What goes on behind the scenes? What exactly goes on when those famous musicians hang out on the rage couch? Real Wild Child answered all my questions and also made me laugh out loud. It seems that the dirty job of making Rage can be absurd, hilarious and really pretty wild. I had a great time with this book!
