Frank Corso, disgraced journalist and successful true crime writer, finds himself evacuated from his friend Meg Dougherty's first photographic display when terrorists strike the Seattle bus tunnel.
As the city grinds to a halt, Corso is determined to find a way into the tunnel to discover for himself what has happened, and what he sees is more shocking than he could ever have imagined... Meanwhile Meg, unaware of the nightmare unfolding across town, suspects she is being pursued by her former lover, and returns home to a horrific scene of her own.
Corso soon pays the price for his snooping when he is hauled in by the police. Reunited in custody with the frightened Meg, he must elude the SPD and pursue the terrorists himself before an infinitely more devastating attack annihilates his city...
