Jamie Grant has published five collections of poems.
Unlike many of today's poets, he uses rhyme and metre
in his work, and has shown successfully that the
contemparary world can be expressed by time tested methods. His other major acheivement has been to use
verse to deal with material these days more usually
written about in prose. Thus his poetry is noted for its
journalistic reports, narratives, personal memoirs,
meditative essays, travelogues, and even on occasion
literary criticism.
